Michelle Garcia, esq. LL.M
Hi, I’m Michelle Garcia, founder and immigration attorney at GB Law Legal, PLLC.
​
I’m proudly Puerto Rican, and my journey has taken me from Puerto Rico to California and eventually to Houston, Texas, each place shaping the attorney and person I am today.
​
I earned my Juris Doctor in 2011 and my LL.M. in 2012. I was admitted to practice law in Puerto Rico in 2011 and in Texas in 2024.
​
I began my legal career in Puerto Rico, representing clients in family, criminal, civil, employment, real estate, and personal injury matters. Working in so many different areas taught me that legal problems are never “just legal.” They affect real people, their families, their peace of mind, and their future.
​
In November 2017, I packed my bags, said a difficult goodbye to my family and my beloved cat, and moved from Puerto Rico to California. There, I began practicing immigration law while enjoying the beautiful landscapes, hiking trails, and sunny weather.
In May 2023, I made Houston my new home and joined the wonderful team at Naimeh Salem & Associates. I quickly fell in love with Houston’s diversity, welcoming community, and incredible food.

Throughout my immigration career, I have represented individuals and families in removal proceedings, asylum cases, immigration appeals, family-based petitions, and other forms of humanitarian relief.
​
After more than 10 years in the legal profession, I founded GB Law Legal to create the kind of law firm I believe clients deserve: personal, honest, compassionate, and approachable.
​
I know immigration cases involve much more than paperwork or legal status. They involve families, safety, stability, dreams, and the possibility of building a better future. That is why I take the time to listen, explain the process in plain language, and make sure my clients feel informed and supported throughout their cases.

As a bilingual attorney, I represent clients in both English and Spanish. My commitment is to provide knowledgeable and dedicated legal representation while treating every person with dignity, respect, and genuine care.
